Only now, after some ten to fifteen years later have I realised how thankful I am that I had someone to introduce me to the world of art, in whichever form. I watched an amateur who for me was the greatest artist in the world… I watched you how you mixed paints and materials; plasticine, clay and with precision and patience would shape this imperfect mass into a real piece of art. Without knowing, you taught me to appreciate and care what you cared about. What you also didn’t know is, that little figurine stands next to my telephone in the hallway and forever serves as a souvenir and reminder.
